Unione Italiana Nexmif is a voluntary organization wanted by parents of children diagnosed with mutation in the gene Nexmif, formerly known as Kiaa2022, cause of intellectual disability, Severe drug-resistant epilepsy and autism spectrum behaviors.

Our Mission is to promote awareness of Nexmif encephalopathy signs and symptoms, raising funds for scientific research.

Our dream
Our Vision is that all clinical aspects related to the Nexmif mutation can be cured.
Sharing experiences is crucial, both internally and externally to this organization, for reasons of emotional and functional solidarity.
We are sure that by sharing our stories, we will boost new diagnoses. And help other families feel less alone.
